According to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, a newly energized low-pressure system formed over the Bay of Bengal is steadily gaining ground, paving the way for renewed rainfall across parts of eastern and southern Rajasthan. In response to the evolving atmospheric conditions, the Met department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at isolated places across nine districts on Friday, signaling an abrupt shift from the intense heat experienced earlier in the week.

Just prior to the monsoon warning, Thursday brought blistering heat and bright sunshine to most parts of the state as temporary rain breaks allowed mercury levels to soar. Daytime temperatures breached the 35 to 40 degrees Celsius bracket in over 10 cities, with Pilani recording the highest maximum temperature at 40 degrees Celsius, closely followed by Sri Ganganagar at 39.8 degrees Celsius. Extended Rain Forecast Until September 15 Amid Persistent Warmth
Weather models indicate that this active rainy spell will not be a fleeting event, with precipitation expected to persist in pockets of eastern and southern Rajasthan through September 15. However, meteorological forecasts caution that complete relief from the heat is unlikely in the immediate future, with maximum temperatures projected to remain above normal across the state until September 24. While scattered showers will temporarily bring localized cool relief, humid conditions and daytime warmth will continue to test residents as the state navigates this final stretch of the monsoon season.
