The armed forces fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the sudden and tragic demise of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan. Indrajit Singh, a 41-year-old soldier belonging to the 193rd Battalion posted in Musabani, suffered a fatal heart attack on Monday night. The untimely loss has sent a wave of shock and profound grief through his unit, coming mere days after he had resumed active duty following a spell of leave in his home state.

Sudden Health Deterioration After Rejoining Duty

According to official accounts, Indrajit Singh was a native of Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan. Having spent his authorized holidays visiting his family back home, he returned to his duty station in Musabani just two days prior to the tragedy. On Sunday, he spent time visiting relatives before formally reporting back to his battalion base on Monday.

However, fate took a grim turn on Monday evening when his health deteriorated abruptly, and he complained of severe chest pain. Recognizing the emergency, fellow personnel rushed him without delay to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur for urgent medical intervention. Despite the swift response, attending physicians examined him and declared him dead upon arrival, with preliminary medical evaluations pointing to a massive cardiac arrest as the cause of death.

Full Military Honours and Tearful Farewell at MGM Hospital

On Tuesday, formal post-mortem examinations were completed within the MGM Hospital premises. Following the completion of legal and medical formalities, a solemn ceremonial tribute was organized. The mortal remains of the late Inderjeet Singh were honoured with a full military salute in the presence of senior CRPF officers, local commanders, and grieving fellow jawans.

Colleagues and superior officers bid a tearful, emotional farewell to the departed soldier. Following the guard of honour, his body was respectfully transported back to his native village in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, accompanied by military escorts so his family could perform final rites. The officers and personnel of the CRPF 193rd Battalion expressed deep sorrow over the sudden tragedy, extending their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of immense grief.
