Moderate to heavy rain in these states today
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest monsoon has advanced from the North Arabian Sea towards the country’s west, central, eastern parts, and northwestern parts. At the same time, conditions are favorable for the advancement of monsoon in some parts of Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rains have been forecast in West Uttar Pradesh on June 28 and 29, 2024. Heavy rains may be seen today in interior southern Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan and Goa.
When will we get relief from the sticky heat of Delhi?
According to the latest update of IMD, monsoon has reached deep inside the UP border. Monsoon is expected to reach Delhi by June 29. Pre-monsoon activities have started in Delhi. IMD has predicted heavy rain in Delhi on Saturday. Monsoon will reach Delhi around June 30 or before, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain during the weekend.
