
On Friday, a light rain put a stop to practice for both Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set to clash at IPL 2025 on Saturday at Eden Gardens .Both teams started their practice sessions on schedule at 5 pm, but were interrupted by the rain at around 6pm. Fortunately, Eden Gardens is one of the few stadiums that has full ground covers, meaning the pitch and outfield could be protected.
The Indian Meteorological body has issued storms and rainfall warnings in Western Bengal for the next two days, and put an "orange alert" for Friday and Saturday.
West Bengal has an orange alert for Friday and Saturday along with Nother and South 24 Parganas and Birbhum and Murshidabad expected to recieve rainfall on Saturday.
