Vande Bharat train: The good news that the citizens of Karnataka were waiting for a long time has finally come. The Vande Bharat train is now being extended from Bengaluru and Dharwad to Belgaum. MP Jagdish Shettar reported that this plan has been approved by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishanav. Under this, this train will now start from Belgaum in the morning and will directly cater to Bengaluru.

This has been a long standing demand of people staying not just in Belgaum but also in adjoining regions as it will greatly ease their travel woes, without changing trains constantly to get to Bengaluru. This also means time efficient travel and better ease of access.

Change of schedule expected

Vande bharat currently leaves from Dharwad at 1:15 p.m. and arrives in Bengaluru at 7:45 p.m. He is now expected to endorse change of schedule commencing from Belgaam. This is bound to happen when the Pune-Hubli Vande Bharat train starts passing over Belgam. People would want that Bunaglore should be the destination of a seperate train. This extension will therefore cater their need.

There was a long standing demand

There was a sustained effort to have this train service, Union Railway Minister Prahlad Joshi along with his associates Eranna Kadadi, B. S. V. Somanna & Jagdish Shettar were constantly working over this. The current implementation will not only be a time saver for commuters from Belgaum to Bangalore, but it will enhance the overall economic development of the region. Furthermore, the government also has plans to up the number of buses and trains recently, boosting intra-state travel. The introduction of the new service will be most beneficial for travelers to Bangalore for business, educational and health purposes.
