Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached out directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, penning a letter to draw urgent attention to the critical delays in the disbursement of Post-Matric Scholarships for students from marginalized communities.

In his letter, Gandhi highlighted the immense financial hardship faced by nearly 60 lakh students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). He stated that the failure to release the scholarship funds on time is forcing many of these students to abandon their higher education aspirations as they are unable to pay their college fees.

Gandhi pointed out that these delays persist despite the central government's introduction of a new 60:40 funding pattern in 2022, a measure that was specifically designed to ensure a smooth and timely flow of funds to the students.

Calling the situation a matter of "social justice," the Congress leader accused the government of being "callously apathetic" to the plight of these students, whose futures are being jeopardized. He stressed that access to education is a key pathway to empowerment for these communities.

The letter concludes with an urgent appeal to the Prime Minister to personally intervene in the matter, ensure the immediate release of all pending funds, and take necessary steps to prevent such delays from recurring in the future.
