Suspense crime, Digital Desk : In an unprecedented showing of political consensus, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi acknowledged that the opposition wholly endorsed the Centre's stance after an all-party briefing on Operation Sindoor. “We have extended our full support to the government,” Gandhi stated as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who pointed out that matters pertaining to the defense of the nation will remain in the veil of secrecy, was also marching along this line.  

Rajnath Singh Briefs Leaders on Terror Strikes  

Starting from the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, they went on to detail India's recent military action reprisal post the Pahalgam terror attack on 22nd April. Government sources have reported that not less than 100 terrorists succumbed during the 24 strikes of precision missiles fired on the nine terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK, Muridke and Bahawalpur–terrorist towns, home to the Squadrons of Espouses of War and Warriors of the Prophet.  

National Unity Applauded by Leaders  

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the meeting took place with a sense of maturity and bipartisan approach. “All the leaders applauded the armed forces and made a pledge to support the government and the soldiers,” Rijiju said. He went on to say that the defense authorities accepted the approach made by them across party lines.

Findings of the Operation Sindoor Strikes

Beginning on May 7, India started executing its official military procedures, which involved coordinated air assaults on suspected terror infrastructure targeted at cross border incursions. It is estimated that the death toll exceeded 70 with more than 60 sustainig injuries as a result of the onslaught. These strikes are believed to have been carried out in retaliation for the gruesome Pahalgam incident in which 26 civilians were ruthlessly slaughtered.

The all-party meeting was attended by the most senior government functionary which includes Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and BJP President JP Nadda. Notable opposition members were Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay, DMK’s TR Baalu, and AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi.

Terror Groups Global Response Suggested

Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM suggested that an international action plan is required for The Resistance Front, which is a subsidiary of Lashkar-e-Taiba
