Sukhbir Badal Visits Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Declares Unity Essential to Protect Punjab's Peace
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and Member of Parliament Harsimrat Kaur Badal visited Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on Tuesday to offer prayers and express their gratitude. Making his appearance following a recent security attack, Sukhbir Badal prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the state while delivering a strong message regarding unity and regional stability.
Expressing Gratitude and a Call to Save Punjab
After paying obeisance at the revered Takht, Sukhbir Badal extended heartfelt thanks to the countless devotees and party workers who stood by him and offered prayers during his challenging times. Emphasizing that his sole mission upon returning to public life is to protect the region, he alleged that external and disruptive forces are actively working to undermine Punjab's leadership and destabilize community harmony.
"Some elements want to bring back the dark times of Punjab, but the Akali Dal will not allow the peace of Punjab to be disturbed at any cost," Sukhbir Badal stated. Highlighting the 105-year legacy of the party as a champion of Sikh interests and Punjab's heritage, he affirmed his commitment to preserving brotherhood and religious mutual respect across the state.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal Highlights Divine Protection
Accompanying her husband, MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal noted that Sukhbir Badal continues his recovery following medical treatment for his injuries, which remain protected in a plaster cast. She alleged that deliberate attempts are being made by opposition forces to poison the socio-political atmosphere in Punjab and target the Akali Dal leadership.
Expressing immense gratitude to the gathering congregation of supporters and Akali Dal workers, Harsimrat Kaur remarked that divine grace has continuously protected him through multiple threats over the past two years, strengthening their resolve to serve the people of Punjab.
