Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The highly anticipated Bollywood comedy, "Welcome to the Jungle," starring Akshay Kumar and a massive ensemble cast, has hit a major roadblock. Production on the film has reportedly been stalled indefinitely due to a serious financial dispute, throwing its entire schedule into disarray.
According to reports, the issue stems from significant unpaid dues. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has allegedly failed to clear payments estimated to be between ₹15-20 crore owed to Sphere Origins, the production services company hired to manage the film's complex logistics.
In response to the outstanding payments, Sphere Origins has reportedly ceased all work on the project. The company was responsible for all on-ground operations, including crew management, equipment, and day-to-day production logistics. With their withdrawal, the film has been brought to an abrupt standstill.
This halt has forced the cancellation of a major shooting schedule that was planned for May. The delay now puts the film's announced Christmas 2024 release date in serious jeopardy.
The news is a major setback for what was positioned as one of the biggest entertainers of the year. As the third installment in the beloved "Welcome" franchise, the film boasts a star-studded cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Paresh Rawal. For now, the future of "Welcome to the Jungle" hangs in the balance, awaiting a resolution to the critical financial issues.
