Debt Restructuring and Currency Swap Documents: Supporting Sri Lanka’s economic stabilization efforts.
Digital Partnership Pact: Promoting cooperation in the tech and digital infrastructure sectors.
India’s Support During Economic Crisis
India previously extended $4.5 billion in assistance to Sri Lanka during its 2022–2023 economic crisis. These new initiatives reaffirm India’s ongoing role as a crucial development partner in the island nation.
Visit to Anuradhapura and Development Projects
As part of his itinerary, PM Modi will visit Anuradhapura to inaugurate India-supported development initiatives. This marks his first visit to Sri Lanka since 2019 and is seen as a vital step in reinforcing India-Sri Lanka ties across multiple sectors.
