Suspense crime, Digital Desk : As per the bereaved family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to receive Shubham Dwivedi’s family, one of the latest victims of the Pahalgam terror attack, at Chakiri airport, Kanpur on Friday at 2 PM. Subsequently, the Prime Minister will visit a nearby site where it is proposed he will commence work on development projects estimated in the crores.
Who Was Shubham Dwivedi?
Shubham Dwivedi is a resident of Kanpur and has recently tied the knot with Aishanya on February 12, 2025. Along with nine other family members, the newly-wedded couple visiting Kashmir proceeded to Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and later Pahalgam.
On April 22, he was one of the 26 civilians gunned down in a terrorist attack at Baisaran Valley, close to Pahalgam.
Wife and Mother Share Their Pain
A week after the tragic event, Aishanya, Shrubam's wife while talking to AajTak shared the horrifying details.
“Thought he was walking forward to engage in some sport. He inquired if we were Hindus or Muslims, before telling us to recite a kalma," she articulated.
Shubham's mother's memories are showcased in the Hindustan Times article: Shubham was a loving son. When I gave birth to my daughter Aarti and returned back home from the hospital, he would sit next to me and never leave my side for two days as though we had been separated for ages.
Aishanya has appealed to the government to formally recognize Shubham's death as martyrdom.
In her appeal she noted Shubham's shift to a different region. "It would mean the world to me if PM Modi honors Shubham as a martyr during his Vipassana visit." In my opinion, It would commemorate Shubham not just as a person but also as a devoted patriot."
