During an interview with British channel Sky news, Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif confessed to endorsing terrorist groups as a form of dirty work done primarily for the Us and other Western countries that included Britain.

This comes after the horrible terror attack which took place on the 22nd of April at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir claiming 26 lives that included a majority of tourists. This attack has severely worsened the already citing tensions between India and Pakistan.

When the Anchor of Sky news Yalda Hakim confronted Minister Asif to accept Pakistan’s funding history and support for Terrorism, he said, “Well, we have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about three decades, And the West including Britain.”

Asif further stated, “That was a mistake and we suffer for that. And that is why you are asking me this question.” He also added that had he not gotten involved in the so-called war on terrorism after 911 or during the Soviet War, he could have claimed an unimpeachable record.”

The Television Broadcast captured Minister Asif showing a great deal of concern for the rising tensions that followed the Pahalgam terror attack suggesting that worsening diplomatic ties between the countries could result in full-scale warfare.

The incident involving Baisaran Meadow occurred on the same day as the eagerly awaited diplomatic engagements which featured the United States Vice President JD Vance's trip to India and Narender Modi’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

The ICP (Integrated Check Post) at the Attari border in Punjab was closed immediately and the Indus Waters Treaty was suspended until the Pakistan’s side of the border ceased cross border terrorism.

These decisions about the rigid steps were made during the Modi Cabinet Committee on Security meeting on 23rd April. Speculations revolving around Indian military action and giving information about the Indian military action enables both countries' armed forces in heightened alert.

The responsibility of the attack alongside suggestions of the involvement of the group’s leading member Kasuri is likely blamed upon TRF (The Resistance Front) which sponsored Lashkar-e-Taiba. These assumptions remain without official endorsement.

Pakistan strongly opposed India’s ceasing of the Indus Waters Treaty claiming this agreement is of utmost necessity for the 240 million citizens residing in Pakistan.
