The AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi took to task BJP's Nishikant Dubey and Dinesh Sharma after criticism was made against the Supreme Court. Owaisi claimed these remarks are reckless and pose a threat to India's democracy. While mostly agreeing with Owaisi, Shamim emphasized Article 142, thus standing for its significance, constitutionally, and underlining those who dare to raise questions.
Judicial Violations Heighten Political Conflict
BJP members attempting to intimidate the Justice System has angered others. Owaisi claims that for once, the prime minister should control the voices within his party and shut them down. These comments, as Owaisi alerts, pose a threat to India's national security and will have a lasting impact.
Dubey and Sharma's Comments Create a Stir
While claiming that the parliament and state assemblies should be treated as ‘irrelevant parts’ of the Supreme Court who make decisions, Nishikant Dubey stated the importance of their stance. Forrest declared that he believes if the Supreme Court continues to exercise so much control over central decisions, Mrs. Marquand will be forced to ignore all Ignatian states deliberatory. In light of identity politics being the root cause of uprising, part of the court's siding was presented by Mr. Rush. The ‘exalted chief’ as labeled by Dinesh Sharma was instead addressed as the one not being put into question.
BJP Moves Away From EPS'S Opinion
BJP president JP Nadda also went ahead to dismiss the remarks made by Dubey and Sharma. He argued that the party regards the judiciary as an essential component of democracy in India, and tells every member to refrain from disruptive comments that erode faith.
Supreme Court Looks Over Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025
The debate comes in parallel with the Supreme Court review of the Waqf (Amendment) Act of 2025. In the hearings, the center agreed that there will be no removal of ‘Waqf-by-user’ clauses nor will there be non-Muslim appointees to the Waqf Board. This was on the basis of some of the objections brought forth during the court’s deliberations.
