Noida: IT Engineer Dies by Suicide in Hotel After Argument with Girlfriend:

A shocking incident has been reported in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, where an IT engineer died by suicide in a hotel located in Noida’s Sector 27, under the jurisdiction of the Sector 20 police station. The local police reached the scene and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.

Victim Was Staying With Girlfriend in Live-In Relationship

The police confirmed that the deceased, identified as Umesh, had been living with his girlfriend in a live-in relationship for the past two years. Both had checked into the Vamson Hotel on Thursday night. After dining together, an argument broke out between them, following which Umesh took his own life by hanging.

Victim Identified as Hathras Resident and IT Engineer

Inspector DP Shukla, in charge of the Sector 20 police station, said Umesh was around 38 years old and worked as an IT engineer for a well-known company. He was originally from Hathras district.

Police Questioning Girlfriend, Awaiting Family Complaint

The police were alerted to the incident on Friday morning. Upon reaching the hotel, they recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. The girlfriend of the deceased is currently being questioned for further clarity. Investigators have established that both individuals had voluntarily booked the hotel room.

So far, no formal complaint has been lodged by the deceased's family. Police stated that if the family chooses to file a complaint, a formal case will be registered and further investigation will be conducted.
