During a recent sports event in Patna, Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar, was spotted laughing and chatting to an IAS officer while the national anthem was being played.

According to NDTV, Kumar was weithered by Deepak Kumar, who is the chief minister’s principal secretary, on the stage at Pataliputra Sports Complex when the anthem was on. Kumar was caught on camera chatting and laughing with Mr. Deepak Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, claimed that he insulted the nation and his party’s leader while posting the video on Line X.

Essayist Tejashwi, on the other hand, noted that while the country is supportive of women, the elderly, and youth, he and the Chief Minister does not provide the same kind of support to people. “Please. Hon'ble Chief Minister, please do not insult national anthem,”.

He questioned and criticized the Chief Ministers' mental stability and claimed that the state of the CM is quite concerning.

“Just so you know, you are the Chief Minister of one of the larger states. You are not mentally and physically fine even for a few seconds which makes your complete unconsciousness position very frightening for the state. Please do not keep insulting Bihar like this,” he added.

He has been captured attempting to talk to an officer with a smile on his face while trying to get their attention. He was seen at one point smiling, folding his hands in a namaskar to a member in the audience.

Deepak Kumar appeared to be holding onto the CM’s hands attempting to get him to stop moving.

Tejashwi Yadav's father, Lalu Yadav, also shared the video on X complimenting, “The national anthem is India’s anthem: The people of Bihar what is there to be regarded as undertones left now?"

Together with the other members of NDA, Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, one of supporters of Nitish Kumar, responded to the opposition by saying, “Those from Bihar who disrespect the country have the audacity to question the Chief Minister of Bihar and give him such base disrespect.”

When speaking to such people, I want to point out that “Laluji and Company” used our state’s name ‘Bihar’ as a derogatory term. It was however, Nitish Kumar Ji who earned respect for Bihar on a global scale. While people in Bihar cringe remembering Laluji’s rule, on the other side, Nitish Kumar was, is, and will continue to be the most adored figure in Bihar. “He is the pride of Bihar,” he further added.
