After the heartwarming announcement during the Next on Netflix India event, Khakee’s well acclaimed series is ready to return on screens.

On March 20, Khakee: The Bengal Chapter will premiere, which will transport audiences to a new setting and an entirely new narrative. The show is presented by Friday Storytellers and produced by Neeraj Pandey, who will also act as showrunner, together with the series’ directors Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray.

Revolving around the early 2000’s, this series is set in a world full of ruthless gangsters and politicians gripping in power, where the law was often out of balance.

Nevertheless, there was IPS Arjun Maitra, who was ready to serve justice to the people, where the only certainty in life was that every ally was a potential enemy. Will IPS Maitra be able to live up to his expectations of establishing order to the crime plagued city?

With stunning cast’s identities kept under wraps feature, this season showcases the unparalleled strong action, fierce drama, and compelling narrative that fans find irresistible. Everything has been boosted with next level production too.

This remarkable tale focuses on its cast featuring the veterans from the Bengali film industry, Prosenjit and Jeet, better known as Boss and Bumba Da to their admirers, Saswata Chatterjee, and the renowned Parambrata Chatterjee. Together with them is a fervent troupe of Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadil Zafar Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, Mimoh Chakraborty, and Shraddha Das.

On the subject of his work experience, Jeet states, "People have been inquiring for years, ‘Boss aur Bumba Da ek saath kab aa rahein hain’ (When are Boss and Bumba Da coming together)? Well, here we are! Now, the cherry on the cake is that this is my first ever Netflix project. Education is about being part of phenomena, in this case reputable productions like this one which aim to revolutionalise global storytelling. It was fun and very gratifying to work with such an accomplished and wonderful cast and crew. The action sequences were very elaborate and I supplied my level best in them. This was also a great experience for me, and I hope that everyone enjoys watching it as much as I did acting in it. The series will surely engage the audience in important topics that will evoke, and hopefully sustain, impactful discussions. ".

Prosenjit expressing his excitement states, “It was only right that I joined Jeet and the rest of the team because the narrative of this cover story is extremely captivating. Made was saying that Netflix knows how to make the right shows and it was satisfying to partner with Neeraj Pandey. Khakee: The Bengal Chapter highlights the sources of conflict which are infused with extreme violence and unparalleled suspense and action that is guaranteed to astonish the viewers."
