Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Supreme Court of India has mandated the NEET-PG 2025 exam be conducted only in one shift, overruling the National Board of Examinations' (NBE) proposal of dividing the exam into two shifts.

The decision, aimed at upholding consistency and equity, was made after some issues were raised regarding some question papers being more difficult than others, which might unfairly disadvantage some candidates.

Court Optimizes Rejects Score Normalization Devised for Shifted Exams

The Court was defiant towards the concept of scores being moved across multiple shifts saying these adaptations are not appropriate answers for chronic mismanagement of examinations. In the opinion of the Court, these modifications might, and should only be deemed acceptable when there exists a great exception, not under the normal order of the regime, particularly for such a momentous national test like NEET-PG.

Time Given to NBE to Actualize Single Shift Configuration Set by The Court

Even with the organizational constraints cited by the NBE, the Court observed that contemporary facilities and lots of time before the exam's date means a single-shift NEET-PG 2025 is feasible logistically.

NEET-PG 2025 Examination Date: proposed on June 15 2025.

The Court was insistent that all contenders need to have symmetrical options, and that having the examination in a single shift would best serve the credibility and equal opportunity for all examinees.
