Bangladeshi all-rounder Nasir Hossain has officially returned to competitive cricket after serving a suspension issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The 33-year-old was banned in September 2023 for breaching the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Code, which came with a six-month suspension.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that Hossain has fulfilled all conditions required to rejoin professional cricket.

BCB Confirms Eligibility for Return
The BCB stated that Hossain has completed all necessary steps, including attending an Anti-Corruption Education session. With all criteria met, he is officially eligible to return to professional cricket as of April 7, 2025.

Comeback Match in Dhaka Premier League
Nasir Hossain marked his return to cricket by playing for Rupganj Tigers in the Dhaka Premier League. He faced Gazi Group Cricketers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, coinciding with the official end of his suspension.

Nasir’s Journey in International Cricket
Between 2011 and 2018, Hossain played in 115 international matches for Bangladesh across all formats. Known for his versatile role as a middle-order batter and part-time off-spinner, he was once a regular fixture in the national squad.
