Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Russia continues to advocate for a peaceful and diplomatic resolution to the complex issues surrounding Iran's nuclear program, according to senior officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry. This stance emphasizes Moscow's belief that dialogue and international agreements are the only viable path forward.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has consistently reiterated Moscow's position, highlighting that there is "no alternative" to a political and diplomatic solution concerning Iran's nuclear activities. This approach underscores Russia's commitment to the principles of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal, despite the challenges and setbacks the agreement has faced in recent years.
Moscow's perspective is that all parties involved should work towards de-escalating tensions and finding common ground. This includes encouraging Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure transparency and address any concerns regarding its nuclear developments. Russia, as one of the original signatories to the JCPOA, sees the agreement, or a mutually agreed-upon version of it, as the cornerstone for ensuring the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.
The Russian government has often criticized unilateral actions and pressure tactics, believing they only complicate the situation and hinder progress towards a sustainable, long-term solution. Instead, Moscow calls for a return to comprehensive negotiations and adherence to international law to resolve the standoff. The aim is to ensure regional stability and uphold the global non-proliferation regime. Russian officials maintain that only through patient diplomacy can the concerns of all stakeholders be adequately addressed, leading to a mutually acceptable outcome.
