Mohit Raina, famously known for portraying Lord Shiva in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, celebrated Maha Shivratri with utmost reverence. The actor is known to have a deep bond with Lord Shiva because of his legendary character, thus he performed a special Shiv Pooja on this auspicious day.
A set of picture he shared on his Instagram depicts him performing the rituals with beautifully bedecked kalash (sacred vessels) of marigold flowers, vibhuti, and symbols of swastika. The pooja setting has idols of lord shiva and goddess parvati in the background which represent auspicious blessings. Every element of this pooja firmly exhibits his unwavering devotion to Mahadev.
In another image, Mohit can be seen wearing a traditional white kurta and a tilak in the center of his forehead with vibhuti smeared all over his face. His blissful expression further adds to the harmony he depicts with deep reverence and Lord Shiva. He also accompanied the pictures with captions wishing his followers adding Mahashivratri to the discourse and significance of love, peace, wisdom, and joy.
Mahashivratri is one important holiday that celebrates the god lord Shiva with fasting, praying, and staying up all night. The devoted shower the Shiva Linga with offerings which include milk, water, and bel leaves, accompanied by chanting sacred mantras.
