New Zealand batter Mark Chapman will not be available for the second One Day International against Pakistan in Hamilton. He suffered a hamstring injury while fielding during the first ODI in Napier. Medical scans confirmed a grade one tear, which, though mild, will require short-term rehabilitation.
To cover his absence, wicket-keeper batter Tim Seifert has been added to the squad. Seifert, currently in strong form, will be available for selection in the second match. The team hopes that Chapman, 30, can recover in time for the final ODI scheduled to be played in Mount Maunganui.
