A man has been arrested and sentenced for 10 years for kidnapping and raping his 17-year-old cousin, as per the report of a lawyer. It’s now known that deepak Kumar verbelly and psychologically assaulted his cousin and the court which concidered the case has also charged him with a fine of rupees 10 thousand.
The case could be one of the more complex cases in the POCSO Court as it has take almost served years for one conviction.
It was First initiated when the mother of the victim raised a complaint in October 2016 regarding a man named Deepak abducting and molesting her daughter.
An investigation was launched, and the police put together the evidence and charges, leading to a formal court case.
Recently, Deepak Kumar has been held guilty and sentenced under the highest sections of the Indian Penal Law. The sections which are 366 which is for kidnapping and section 376 which is for rape.
