Ajit Pawar Devendra Fadnavis: Once again, it’s the big drama of Maharashtra. There is one resignation, which has done the rounds in the politics of the state. It so happened that, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Munde went to the Governor and his surrender was accepted. The reason Dhananjay Munde decided to resign stems from the murder of SarpanchSantosh Deshmukh of Beed district. The CID which is probing this case had filed a chargesheet two days before. The most important thing is that after this resignation, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar becomes alive and is holding meetings with his party functionaries.
Which names are being put forward as candidates for the ministerial posts? As it stands now, there is a bit of a guessing game going on as to who may fill the ministerial position. Munde had to be unseated from the position.
This case also came to light after we learned how Santosh Deshmukh was murdered due to his defiance against extortion. The moment this report was filed, the blame of the opposition was further raised, imprisoning the Fadnavis government into dismissing Munde. Moreover, the moment some photographs depicting this murder went viral on social media, public rage further escalated. The opposing political parties were unremittingly demanding Munde’s exit. The integration of these factors became unbearable, forcing the government to step down.
