Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mentioned on Wednesday that the movie ‘Chhaava’ depicts the courage and wisdom of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, adding that historians did not treat him reasonably.

At the special showing of the film hosted by minister Aditi Tatkare, Fadnavis told journalists that the film is “very nice”, for it, in his words, raises awareness of the life and times of the warrior king.

The Vicky Kaushal-starring film is centered on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was the son of the founder of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj..
