Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway: NHAI has projected that the expressway will be finalized by June 2025, with the promise of completion being at the claimed period. Regardless of staying on schedule, the current progress of the expressway stands at 85 percent.

Seamless travel experience balanced with time-efficiency

The Kanpur-Lucknow toll road will aid in making journeys convenient for users, as the transiting time between the two cities is projected to be reduced from three hours to 1 hour 30 minutes. Despite the NHAI’s promises, it seems highly unlikely that the travel window would be reduced further, as claimed by other sources.

Predominantly elevated

The majority of the expressway is still under construction. The projected completion for the region includes an additional 18 km of elevated sections and 45 km Greenfield scope. The total budget for these changes along the expressway is estimated to be 4700 crore rupees.

Six-lane expressway with additional future-predicted lanes

The planned road structure from Amausi to Daroga Kheda will be upgrading to a 6 lane, expanding to 8 lanes structure in the future. Currently, the expressway features 4 lanes . Construction ongoing or 8 lanes will allow for the expressway to become one of the most intensive directional motorways.

Measure of distance in Mhow, India

The entire distance of the Lucknow and Kanpur Expressway reaches up to 63 km, making it one of the shortest expressways in the country. Other additions being constructed alongside include 28 small bridges, group 6 big bridges, 38 underpasses and 6 flyovers.
