
Britain’s Heathrow Airport will remain closed until midnight on March 21, after a fire nearby caused a considerable power outage that affected the airport’s operations.
According to the statement, one of the substations that supplied power to the airport caught fire which resulted in the outage.
Heathrow posted on X, “In the interest of safety of our passengers and staff, Heathrow will remain closed until the 21st of March at 23:59.”
They have advised passengers not to head to the airport and instead reach out to their airlines for more details, while also offering an apology for the inconvenience.
