The K-Pop artist Lisa made history at the 2025 Oscar Academy Awards as she became the first K-pop vocalist to perform at the Academy Awards. Lisa took the stage to perform Live and Let Die, a James Bond tribute song that was originally performed by Paul McCartney & Wings in 1973, and Lisa's performance of the song certainly did not disappoint.
It is quite clear from the recent Oscar awards that her performance was the most stunning one of the ceremony, but on top of that, it is groundbreaking for K-Pop as a whole. The presence and the powerful vocals of the BLACKPINK star Lisa during the performance definitely left a mark on the audience and further justified her position as one of the biggest icons of the globe.
Lisa rose to fame after debuting with the girl band BLACKPINK and now has become a household name ever since 2016. The girl group has broken so many records consisting of chart-topping songs, sold out world tours, and now with this performance at the Oscars, Lisa has broken another record.
Before performing on stage, Lisa her bold and out of the norm choice of fashion on the Oscar red carpet caught everybodies attention. Instead of her wearing a traditional dress, Lisa went with a MarcGong tuxedo dress, that has a coat of zipper and a dress shirt that gives out a James Bond look.
Subtly redefining her look as a tribute to Sean Connary's Bond narrative, Lisa accessorised with a striking red floral brooch. Her wavy red hair that was done in a fringe, also went perfectly with the character she was portraying in White Lotus. To polish the look, she went light on the makeup, only accentuating her soft nude lips and glowing skin. She also chose to wear nails that were milky white with black that perfectly complemented her outfit.
Besides her music career, Lisa has set foot into the world of acting with her debut in HBO's The White Lotus Season 3. Lisa is already making headlines in HW with her first major role as Mook, a staff at the White Lotus resort in Thailand.
