Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Violent criminal Naveen Kumar, a sharp shooter with Bishnoi’s Lawrence gang, was killed in an encounter with police from the Noida unit of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) along with the Delhi Police Special Cell and Hapur police in Preet Vihar area of Hapur Kotwali, Uttar Pradesh. Kumar was later declared dead upon arrival owing to “serious injuries” he sustained during the “encounter”.

Naveen Indiscriminately Fired at the Officers When He was Encircled

As per the police memorandum, the crackdown was executed after there was a tipoff regarding Kumar’s location. In the wait, the police converged around Kumar, and he began shooting his weapon to create an escape route. The police returned fire and shot him.

One Accomplice Evades Capture – Police Still Searching

Kumar had entered Hapur with an accomplice using a two wheeler. In the course of the gunfire, the accomplice escaped. The remaining portions of the police unit have been dispatched to track down the fleeing suspect. Two police personnel received bullet wounds in the firefight, but thankfully are recovering.

Additional SP of Noida STF, Raj Kumar Mishra, confirmed that Naveen Kumar was involved in more than 20 serious criminal cases. These included:  

4 murder cases
2 kidnapping cases
2 cases under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act)
Multiple charges under the Gangster Act  

A high tech .32 bore pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the encounter site  

Close Links with Hashim Gang  
Besides residing in Ghaziabad district’s Loni, Naveen also turned out to be a close associate of the Hashim Baba gang. He became a wanted man in a series of sophisticated blind murders, the one most notorious being in the heart of Delhi’s Farsh bazaar. His ties to both Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim gangs made him a lawless predator and a top priority for capture.
