Attending a star-studded charity fundraiser show in Hyderabad as part of her initiative “Teach For Change,” actress and entrepreneur Lakshmi Manchu had an overwhelming revelational experience. The annual fundraiser which brings celebrities together to support, market, and improve the education system for underprivileged kids, included celebrity attendees like Shruti Heasan and Shriya Sharan, but was mostly focused on the reunion between Lakshmi and her estranged brother Manchu Manoj.
An Unexpected Reunion That Left Everyone in Tears
Viral Videos from the evening captured Lakshmi's panoply of emotions when Manoj snuck up behind her. She was so baffled to see him that, hitting the floor in disbelief, she nearly broke into tears while racing to wrap her arms around him. The moment was even more touching when Manoj’s wife, Bhuma Mounika, joined in and extended her arms to comfort Lakshmi because she was just sobbing too much.
Afterwards speaking to the media, Manoj shared a light-hearted remark regarding his late entrance saying, “I came late, yeah,” but quickly pointed out how integral the reunion was for himself and his sister. “She must’ve been upset I was late, but seeing her cry like that absolutely broke my heart,” according to him.
A Family Reunion with Extreme Emotion and Negative Feelings
Despite the tears that are shed at the emotional reunion may was the ongoing conflict with the Manchu family. Manoj had an estranged relationship with their father Mohan Babu and with brother Vishnu Manchu. Formerly, he had staged a protest outside their father's house stating that ‘Vishnu’ has entered his house without permission for valuables that were taken while he was away.
In spite everything Lakshmi has decided to balance her social service with her professional career that saw her entertain the world.
