Why Did Vishnu Take the Kurma Avatar?
During the Samudra Manthan, both the Asuras and Devas used mount mandrachala as a churning rod for the ocean. Why inflicted both trouble and aid as it is revered for its beauty. Due to the enormous weight it possessed, the mountain started sinking into the ocean.
