Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made a two-day trip to the UAE and then made a trip to Abu Dhabi.

Vijayan was greeted by Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal and others including the Loka Kerala Sabha and others.

The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi gave a post on X that reads: “Welcome to the UAE! Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan warmly received by Ambassador Deepak Mittal as he arrived in Abu Dhabi on a visit.”

On November 6, Vijayan made Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah on his two-day trip to Kuwait, officials said.

According to an official statement, Vijayan was received warmly in Al Bayan Palace, the main palace of the Emir of Kuwait, and discussed how to develop the historic relations that India and Kuwait share.

Also a part of the meeting was Kuwait's Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Saad Al Munaifi.

Sheikh Fahad praised the Indian, especially the Malayali, community for the developments and reconstruction of Kuwait, the statement said.

In underscoring gratitude to Sheikh Fahad and the Kuwaiti government, CM Vijayan described, ‘Kerala has investment potential in many other sectors.’ He also assured continued support to the Malayalis in Kuwait.

The meeting included by the Chief Secretary of Kerala, Jayathilak, and the Chairman of Lulu Group, MA Yusuff Ali.

CM Vijayan subsequently met Sheikh Mishal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, who is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Investment Authority.

Sheikh Mishal informed the Chief Minister that a delegation from Kuwait would soon visit Kerala to explore investment opportunities in the state.

On November 7, he addressed the Malayali expatriate community at a public event organised at the Al Arabi Indoor Stadium in Mansouria. A large number of Keralites in Kuwait are expected to attend the event.
