Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Jordan has reopened its airspace to civilian aircraft, bringing an end to a temporary but unprecedented shutdown that rippled through global aviation networks. The move, announced by state-run Al Mamlaka television, signals a de-escalation of the immediate threat following a night of intense military activity across the Middle East.
According to the report, air traffic operations were scheduled to resume at 7:30 a.m. local time (0430 GMT). The country had closed its skies as a precautionary measure late Saturday, a move taken in response to Iran's large-scale drone and missile attack on Israel, which saw projectiles cross Jordanian territory.
Officials stated that the decision to reopen was made after conducting a thorough "assessment of the risks" and determining that the danger to civil aviation had subsided.
The temporary closure had forced numerous international flights to be canceled or rerouted, highlighting Jordan's critical role as a major air transit corridor in the region. The resumption of flights marks a significant step toward restoring normalcy, though the broader geopolitical situation remains tense.
