An Israeli citizen has been kidnapped and killed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Abu Dhabi-based Chabad ambassador Rabbi Zvi Kogan was kidnapped in Dubai city on Thursday afternoon. After this, on Sunday morning, Emirati authorities recovered Kogan’s body and his family was informed. Now Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed both grief and anger over this incident. Netanyahu has said that Israel will take every possible action to punish the accused.

A search operation was launched by security and intelligence agencies of several countries to locate Kogan. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement saying that information indicated the disappearance was a terrorist-related incident. Kogan’s body was recovered on Sunday.
Who was Rabbi Zvi Kogan?
The deceased Kogan was originally from Moldova. He had worked with Rabbi Levi Duchman and other Chabad emissaries for many years to establish and expand Jewish life in the UAE. Kogan was a major contributor to the establishment of the first Jewish education center in the Gulf country. Kogan’s wife Rivki also joined him after marriage in the year 2022.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned the entire incident. Benjamin Netanyahu said that this murder was committed in the United Arab Emirates. The murder of an Israeli citizen and Chabad ambassador is a criminal anti-Semitic terrorist attack. Netanyahu said that Israel will take action in every way and bring the killers and their masters to justice. However, Netanyahu has praised the cooperation of the United Arab Emirates in the murder investigation.
