Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Israel was said to have accepted the ceasefire plan for Gaza proposed by the U.S. The White House verified this on Thursday. The plan was submitted by President Trump's Middle East representative, Steve Witkoff. Although there have been no public affirmations from Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office, there are media reports suggesting that the plan has been approved.

Karoline Leavitt, who speaks on behalf of the White House, stated that the agreement has been accepted by Israel, but did not go into detail regarding the specifics of the terms.

Proposal Includes 60-Day Ceasefire and Enhanced Assistance

As outlined by some of the sources that are privy to the details of the offer, the first step Encompasses the Following plans:-

Suspension of hostilities for 60 days
Significantly increased passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza
The objective of the plans is to reduce escalating tension and respond to the deepening humanitarian crisis which has been simmering for months due to prolonged conflict.

Cites Gaps In Demands Proposal Under Review

Hamas militants confirmed they are considering the offer to suspend hostilities, but have pointed out that it does not address several fundamental requirements. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri asserted the proposal does not include:

Ending the war indefinitely
Lifting Israeli forces out of the Gaza
Providing guaranteed open access for humanitarian aid
In any case, Hamas has always been against disarmament which remains a crucial demand that Israel is making as a prerequisite to agreeing for a ceasefire.

Standstill Negotiations and Unresolved Conflicts
The most recent attempt at a ceasefire negotiation between Israel and Hamas was in March 2024, and like the previous ones, it ended without success. The disputes are still the same:
Hamas still refuses to release the remaining 58 hostages without an assurance that Israel will withdraw troops and completely end their military aggression. At the same time, Israel has not budged from their stance that all disarmament and hostage release must take place before any negotiations begin.

Crisis Context U.S. and Aid Fulfilling Role
As the GHF armed forces await further instruction from the private initiative backed by the U.S., GHF Israel endorsed strategic plans, the discussions of which seem to be in Washington, the foundation is trying to further expand its aid. Amid the wars and conflicts, GHF has managed to expand aid operations to the third vending location in Gaza.

While the group has so far managed to supply around 1.8 million meals, Israeli ground troops are still dominating previously bound territories while international aid groups are scrambling to call out the lacking plans in the Open Famine Mandate negotiations led by the UN.

External Forces Urging Action from Israel

The international community, especially the European allies, is arguing for Israel to cease the military actions and permit significant humanitarian assistance to flow into Gaza. The scrutiny on Israel’s military offensive, which came after the October 7 2023 Hamas attack on Israel that left approximately 1,200 Israelis dead and resulted in 251 Israeli hostages taken, is increasing in light of the rising death toll and devastation.

Health officials in Gaza claim that over 54,000 Palestinians have died in the conflict, which continues to be heavily decimated.
