According to news agency PTI, a senior police officer said that the accused were questioned. He revealed that on the night of 23 August, they received information that cow smugglers in two SUVs were patrolling the city. He further said that the accused mistook student Aryan Mishra and his friends Shanky and Harshit as cow smugglers. After this, they chased them for about 30 kilometers near the Gadpuri toll on the Delhi-Agra National Highway.
