Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has significantly upgraded its AI-powered chatbot, 'AskDISHA,' aiming to make train ticket booking and accessing travel-related information more convenient and efficient for millions of railway passengers. This enhanced version, sometimes referred to as AskDISHA 2.0, is designed to offer a more interactive and comprehensive user experience.
One of the key improvements is the introduction of voice support, allowing users to interact with the chatbot using voice commands in both Hindi and English. This feature caters to a wider audience and provides an alternative to text-based queries. Furthermore, the chatbot now facilitates OTP-based login, enabling users to book train tickets directly through the chat interface without navigating away.
AskDISHA is now better equipped to handle a diverse range of passenger queries. These include assistance with booking tickets, procedures for ticket cancellation, checking PNR status, tracking refund status, clarifying Tatkal ticket timings and rules, and providing information on various travel guidelines and railway policies.
The primary objective behind this upgrade is to reduce the reliance on human intervention for common queries, thereby improving the efficiency of customer service and providing round-the-clock support. Passengers can get instant answers and resolutions, making the process of planning and managing their train travel significantly smoother.
The enhanced AskDISHA chatbot is accessible on the official IRCTC website and its mobile application. By leveraging artificial intelligence, IRCTC aims to simplify the customer journey, offering a powerful and user-friendly tool that streamlines railway ticketing and information retrieval for the Indian populace.
