The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is to be played between India and Australia from next month. The Indian team will tour Australia for this series. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s name was also being discussed for this tour but he has also not been given a chance because he was already appointed captain of India’s A team going on an Australia tour. Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been out for a long time, also could not return to the team. Pujara had made important contributions with the bat on the last 2 Australia tours.
