Moscow: Before the BRICS summit to be held in Russia next week, President Putin held a press conference. During this, he showed the mirror to the western countries by giving the example of India. Putin was asked whether BRICS is an organization formed against the western countries?… On this Putin said that BRICS is not anti-West, but just a non-West group. The purpose of BRICS was never to be against anyone. For this he also cited India’s stand. Putin told the western countries that India is an important member of BRICS, but it is not anti-West or Europe. Similarly, there are other members as well.
During this, he also praised PM Modi’s role on the Russia-Ukraine war. On the Ukraine dispute, President Vladimir Putin says, “…PM Modi raises this issue every time during talks with him and expresses his views. We are grateful to him for this.” He said that Russia is interested in ending this issue through peaceful means. But it was not us who stopped the talks on this, but it was the Ukrainian side…”
America spoiled relations with Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin says, “…America has spoiled its relations with Russia by constantly imposing sanctions and this has had a negative impact on them. Now the whole world is wondering whether its (America’s) dollar is worth using… Even America’s traditional allies have reduced their dollar reserves. By doing this, America has gone back about 15 years. They will not be able to stop Chinese development…”
