Hyundai is reportedly preparing for the global unveiling of its largest electric vehicle (EV) yet. According to recent reports, the Korean automaker is on the verge of launching its biggest electric model, expected to be called the IONIQ 7, globally. This new EV is poised to join Hyundai's highly successful IONIQ lineup, which already includes the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, aiming to solidify the brand's position in the rapidly expanding EV market.

Sources suggest that the IONIQ 7 will be a 7-seater SUV, offering substantial space and comfort, indicative of its premium positioning. It is expected to be based on the E-GMP platform, a dedicated electric global modular platform also utilized by other Hyundai and Kia EVs, which allows for robust performance and flexible interior layouts. Early concept images and teasers hint at a distinctive and futuristic design, a hallmark of the IONIQ series. The vehicle is anticipated to feature advanced technological capabilities, including a large battery pack offering an impressive range and fast-charging capabilities.

The upcoming IONIQ 7 is expected to directly compete with other large electric SUVs in the market, such as the Kia EV9. Its launch will mark a significant step for Hyundai in offering a full spectrum of electric vehicles, catering to diverse customer needs, from compact to large family-oriented EVs. While the exact global launch date remains under wraps, anticipation is building for the official reveal of this ambitious new electric vehicle.
