Victory in 6 test matches is necessary.

To reach the final of the World Test Championship, the Indian team will have to win 6 out of the 10 Tests at any cost. If India wins six Tests, its PCT will be 64.03 which will be enough to make it to the final. Apart from this, India will also have to keep an eye on the results of other teams. India will have to win five Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand and one Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at any cost. Then the doors of the WTC final can open for it.
