Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh – A government-run children's home, a place intended to be a sanctuary, has become the site of a horrifying crime after a female employee accused her supervisor and another colleague of gang-raping her on the premises. Shahjahanpur police have taken swift action, arresting both men in connection with the case.
The 22-year-old victim, a worker at the children's home for boys, filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday, June 19. In her First Information Report (FIR), she stated that the alleged assault occurred the previous night.
According to the victim's account, she was called to the office of the home's superintendent under a false pretense. She alleges that once she was there, the superintendent and her other male colleague overpowered and gang-raped her.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena confirmed the details to the media, stating that an FIR has been registered under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for gang rape. He assured that the matter is being investigated with the utmost seriousness.
"Based on the woman's complaint, we have registered an FIR and taken both the accused individuals into custody," SP Meena stated. "The victim has been sent for a medical examination as per legal procedure, and a thorough investigation is underway."
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and raises grave concerns about the safety and oversight within state-run institutions designed to protect the vulnerable. The swift arrests mark the first step in the legal process as authorities work to deliver justice.
