Varanasi: Big news is coming out related to the famous Gyanvapi case of the district. Here the Hindu side has got a big setback from the court. The court has rejected the petition of the Hindu side demanding an ASI survey of the entire complex. At the same time, the Hindu side is now preparing to go to the High Court against this decision of the Varanasi District Court. Let us tell you that the Hindu side had demanded that apart from the wuzukhaana, the entire complex should be surveyed, but the court did not listen to them. The Hindu side says that there is a Shivling under the central dome.

The argument of the Hindu side

According to Madan Mohan Yadav, an advocate of the Hindu side, “Sarnath and Rajghat in Varanasi have been excavated by the ASI and even Mohenjodaro and Harappa were excavated by the ASI. On this basis, 4×4 feet excavation should be done in Gyanvapi as well and the location of the Jyotirlinga under the central dome of Gyanvapi should be surveyed.”

Argument of the Muslim side

On the other hand, the Muslim side says that when the ASI survey of the Gyanvapi complex has already been done once, there is no justification for conducting a second survey. The lawyers of the Muslim side also say that digging a pit in the mosque premises for the survey is not practical in any way and this can cause damage to the mosque.

Why is the demand for digging

The Hindu side says that the original place of ‘Jyotirlinga’ was present under the dome of the mosque located in the Gyanvapi complex. According to the Hindu side, geographical water used to flow continuously from the Argha which used to collect in the Gyanvapi Kund. This pilgrimage is also considered as ‘Gyanodaya Tirtha’. The Hindu side says that the ‘Shivling’ obtained from Gyanodaya Tirtha should also be examined to find out whether it is a Shivling or a fountain.
