In the Haryana elections, there is news of a tussle within the BJP for the CM post, which has heated the politics. Senior party leader Anil Vij has staked a claim for the CM’s chair in BJP and said that I have not asked for anything from the party to date, now I will stake a claim for the CM post based on my seniority. I am a senior so I can also be the CM. After this statement of his, there has been a political earthquake in the BJP. Let us tell you that when Naib Singh Saini became the CM, Anil Vij did not even get a place in the Saini cabinet. After this, he also became angry with the party.

Now he has staked claim to the CM post. This time Anil Vij is contesting from Ambala Cantt assembly constituency of Ambala district. However, Haryana BJP in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan has given his reaction to Anil Vij’s statement.

Saini is the face of the post of CM-Dharmendra Pradhan.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is the BJP’s chief ministerial face and the party will score a ‘hat-trick’ of victories in the state under his leadership. Pradhan’s statement came after senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Haryana minister Anil Vij said he would stake claim for the chief minister’s post if the party returns to power after the October 5 assembly elections in the state.

When asked about Vij’s remarks, Pradhan, the BJP in-charge for Haryana elections, told reporters in Karnal, “He might have said so as a party worker, but Naib Singh Saini is the BJP’s chief ministerial face. The BJP is fighting the assembly elections in Haryana under the leadership of Saini, a popular leader of the state. The BJP will make a ‘hat-trick’ by winning the Haryana assembly elections.”

A dig at Congress

Pradhan said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks on reservation will be a “political issue” in the Haryana assembly elections. He claimed, “A few days ago, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said that when his party comes to power, it will abolish reservation. This is nothing new. His statement reflects its (Congress’s) mental state.”
