Residents of Emaar Imperial Gardens in Sector 102, Gurugram, are facing persistent mobility and infrastructure challenges as the construction of three proposed 24-metre-wide arterial roads remains stalled due to pending land acquisition. Highlighting the critical need for improved urban connectivity and emergency access, the Emaar Imperial Gardens Condominium Association (IGCA) has urged the state government and relevant civic authorities to expedite the land acquisition process and prioritize infrastructure development around the society.
Crucial Need for Arterial Roads and Emergency Mobility
According to the RWA, master development blueprints outline three 24-metre-wide roads designed to surround and connect the residential complex, yet work has stalled due to incomplete land acquisition. This delay severely restricts the daily commute of thousands of residents living in the area.
IGCA representatives emphasize that completing these road networks is essential for smooth connectivity with surrounding sectors. Furthermore, the lack of proper access routes poses serious risks for emergency vehicles, making it difficult for ambulances, fire engines, and essential service providers to reach the society promptly during crises. Residents are currently forced to rely on congested alternative routes, heightening daily commuting stress.
Demands for On-Site Demarcation and Revenue Road Repairs
In addition to pushing for the swift acquisition of necessary land and the subsequent commencement of construction, the association has called for the immediate on-site identification and physical demarcation of the three proposed routes by authorities.
The RWA has also drawn administrative attention to the deteriorating condition of the existing revenue road situated behind Emaar Imperial Gardens. This vital passage connects nearby EWS flats to the wider road network, linking directly to GMDA Road No. 183. Currently plagued by severe wear and tear, the road causes daily hardships for commuters. The association has demanded urgent structural repairs, resurfacing, and the installation of proper streetlighting along the stretch.
Prioritizing Gurugram's Pending Sector Road Network
Highlighting the urgency of the matter, IGCA Vice President Sunil Sarin stated that as part of the state government's broader initiative to complete Gurugram's pending sector road network, infrastructure around Emaar Imperial Gardens deserves immediate administrative priority. Expediting these projects will ensure safer transportation, seamless connectivity, and improved living conditions not only for society residents but also for the neighboring EWS residential communities.
