Both of these artists dated each other for nearly ten years, and it was no secret that they received constant media attention for it. But, as fate would have it, things took a shift when Justin proposed to Hailey soon after his final breakup with Selena, and the two later married privately in 2018.

Ever since, Selena’s and Hailey’s fans have constantly clashed on different social media platforms, much of the conflict being started due to Hailey throwing supposed shade at Selena. Knowing the feud between Hailey and Selena is common knowledge, what is less known is that Hailey used to be a really big fan of Selena along with her getting infamous for being a fan of the duo “Jelena.”

A new video on TikTok has stirred the conflict further, apparently indicating Hailey Bieber throwing shade towards Selena Gomez. On the 6th of March, internet personality Courtney Presto posted a screenshot on her account claiming to have caught Hailey liking a TikTok that was published on the 14th of February.

After learning that Hailey had liked her post, Courtney commented, “Hailey Bieber herself liked my TikTok, to which I issued a little surrender to the comments because I was a bit shady towards Selena Gomez. It stemmed from these photographs, and they were aware that everyone was going to react to them in some way.”

She also claimed, ‘“Selena, I think, drives Hailey fucking crazy.”’

One tweet from 2011 reads, “I’m for sure 100% team #Jelena.” You may know what was going on, but the other one goes, “I don’t care what anyone says, but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez together is the definition of a teenage dream. #word.”

Then there’s a second tweet from 2012 that takes it to the next level. In it, Hailey replied to an X user with the remark, “Seriously though. She’s beyond flawless, and he’s, you know, Bieber. They are the perfect relationship.” She closed it out forever alone.

In a statement to E! News, March 9, 2023, threw out the claim. “This never happened. The entire story was fabricated by a content creator looking to gain notoriety by twisting an old story.”
