
Gwalior-Agra High Speed Corridor: The works concerning the acquisition of land of 66 villages in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for the Gwalior to Agra high speed corridor is set to begin. A total of approximately 550 hectares will be acquired under this project. This corridor will lessen the distance between Gwalior and Agra by 32 kilometers which translates to one hour of travel time and reduced traffic congestion.
What Villages’ Land Will Be Acquired?
The corridor of the high speed rail will extend through the following districts: Gwalior, Morena, Dholpur and Agra.
Gwalior – 1 village
Morena – 32 villages
Dholpur – 18 villages
Agra – 15 villages
The alignment will originate from Susera village which lies along the boundary of Gwalior and Morena. It will traverse to Morena, Dholpur and continue to Deori village of Agra through the Rairu-Jhansi bypass.

The participants had the technical bids for the corridor opened at the Infratech Show held in Gandhinagar on Tuesday. The fully access-controlled 88 kilometer long high-speed corridor will ensure faster and more secure traffic.
