Bollywood superstar Govinda and wife Sunita Ahuja’s marriage lasted for 48 years. Recently, the couple grabbed headlines with their reports of divorce. The news of separation was compounded by startling new allegations such as Govinda having and Sunita allegedly living in different houses.
During a segment of an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita spoke about the allegations revealing, “They don’t know this but ever since he (Govinda) went into politics, we have lived apart. When my daughter was younger, party workers would come to our house and so would my husband. Since we would walk around in shorts, I decided to get an office next to the house. If anyone dares to put asunder my marriage with Govinda, let them.”
The couple is said to have been going through a rough patch in their marriage for the past few years. Reportedly, Sunita had been spending her birthdays alone for the past few years. Not too long ago, Govinda divorced reports vehemently claiming there is no truth to them.
In an interview with ETimes , Govinda said “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films.” At the same time, the actor’s manager claimed that issues started arising specifically because of Sunita’s side of the family, but maintained that lived within reason.
Since 1987, Govinda and Sunita have been married and weather the storms of their life together. The couple has two children, son Yashvardhan, and daughter Tina.
In 2023, Govinda’s most recent appearance was in a movie called Ragu Raja Ram. Nonetheless, the actor has reported that he intends to come back to acting. He is expected to feature in Baahe Haath Ka Khel, Pinky Darling, and Len Den: Its All About Business.
