Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Bangalore, June 30, 2025: Investors and jewelry buyers in Bangalore saw a significant drop in the prices of precious metals on Monday, with both gold and silver rates experiencing a sharp decline in the Sarafa Bazar (bullion market).

The price of 24-carat gold, the purest form used for investment, fell by a substantial ₹1,600 per 10 grams. The market opened with the rate at ₹73,000 per 10 grams, down from the previous day's closing price of ₹74,600.

Similarly, 22-carat gold, which is widely used for making jewelry, also saw a considerable price reduction. Its rate dropped by ₹1,500 per 10 grams, with the current price standing at ₹66,900. This is a significant decrease from the prior rate of ₹68,400.

The downward trend extended to silver as well. The price of silver declined by ₹1,200 per kilogram, bringing the new rate to ₹92,000 per kg, compared to yesterday's price of ₹93,200.

This sharp decline in precious metal prices presents a potential buying opportunity for consumers and investors in the city.
