Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : A man on the run from U.S. charges, Dr. Gal Luft, has made explosive claims, alleging that top FBI and Justice Department officials deliberately ignored crucial evidence he provided back in 2019. This evidence, he says, pointed to potentially corrupt dealings involving President Joe Biden's family and a major Chinese energy company, CEFC China Energy. Luft, who is currently a fugitive after being indicted on charges including acting as an unregistered foreign agent, shared his side of the story in a video testimony released by U.S. Senator Ron Johnson.
Perhaps the most startling detail from Luft's account involves a supposed comment made by CEFC executives about Joe Biden. According to Luft, these executives allegedly remarked that Biden "would get lost in his White House closet" if he were to be involved in their complex business operations, implying concerns about his understanding or mental sharpness. This remark was reportedly made during discussions about the Biden family's potential influence.
Luft asserts that he met with FBI and Justice Department officials in Brussels in March 2019. During this meeting, he claims he handed over evidence detailing the Biden family's financial connections to CEFC. This included information about Hunter Biden allegedly receiving payments from the Chinese firm and that CEFC had an informant, Patrick Ho, who was supposedly paying Hunter Biden $1 million as a retainer. Luft also brought up the notorious "10% for the big guy" allegation, suggesting Joe Biden was expected to receive a share of these dealings.
Despite providing this information, Luft claims the investigators seemed uninterested and that the evidence was ultimately swept under the rug. He further alleges that his subsequent arrest in Cyprus on U.S. charges was a politically motivated move to stop him from testifying before the House Oversight Committee, which is also looking into the Biden family's business activities. Luft, who now calls himself a political refugee, jumped bail and is currently evading authorities.
Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, is taking Luft's allegations seriously. He has formally requested answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, demanding to know why Luft's 2019 information was allegedly disregarded and whether a proper investigation ever took place. Johnson emphasized the gravity of the claims, particularly the idea that the FBI and DOJ might have been aware of this information long before the 2020 presidential election.
Luft's accusations add more fuel to the ongoing scrutiny of the Biden family's foreign business engagements, especially those with Chinese entities. While Luft himself faces serious legal trouble, his detailed account, amplified by a U.S. Senator, is likely to intensify political debate and calls for further investigation into what federal agencies knew and when they knew it.
