The story goes back to her college days when acting wasn't even on her radar. Director Rishab Shetty was searching for a fresh face for his film and happened to spot a picture of Rashmika in a newspaper from a "Clean Coorg" campaign.

She not only aced the audition but also landed the lead role of Saanvi Joseph. Kirik Party (2016) went on to become a colossal hit, and Rashmika became an overnight sensation, her performance earning widespread love and acclaim. That single reluctant decision to attend an audition opened the doors to the massive pan-India stardom she enjoys today.
